Which of your designs
are you most excited about right now and why?
The Wrap
Extending Dining Table. The development was much longer than usual—about a
year. The leaf is self-storing—and when you open it, it’s part of the design.
It doesn’t look extendable. It looks woven into the piece.

that embody your design philosophy.
Innovative. Simple. Colorful. (One more? Feminine.)
What’s your favorite
place in New York?
The Museum of Art and Design. If I come in for a day, I try
to go there.
Who or what are you
inspired by right now?
I like meeting craftspeople and collaborating with them to
see how we can use their ways of working to make more-modern ideas.
What do you think
about the color gray?
I love it this year. It’s quiet and understated. Kind of
classic.
