Here's a collaboration that I was excited to discover: industrial design paired with community outreach. Craving the quality, story and meaning in handcrafted objects, industrial designer Aurelie Tu foundedCraftedSystems. Partnering with the YWCA women's shelter in Portland, these products are made by hand in a collaborative environment where women share and learn and develop skills that help in economically enabling and empowering them.
