5 Questions For: Joe Kent, Fruitsuper Design


We're kicking off our newest blog section, '5 Questions For' with a Q&A with Joe Kent from Fruitsuper Design. Which of your designs are you most excited about right now and why?
The coasters because they’re simple but understandable. It’s about a reductive as you can go but still be understandable.

Tell us three words that embody your design philosophy.
Fun. Functional. Simple.

What’s your favorite place in New York?
The Noguchi Museum. Because it's amazingly calm and peaceful. And you can get the best falafel in the world on the way. 

Who or what are you inspired by right now?
There’s such amazing work at this show. I’m excited about “Sight Unseen.” And Pat Kim’s furniture. Also Ladies & Gentlemen Studio, Maiza Editions.

What do you think about the color gray?
I like it when juxtaposed with a nice, bright color.
