The Northwest is so visually stimulating ... we have beautiful architecture, gorgeous neighborhoods and amazing views everywhere we turn. When was the last time you stopped to really look at one of our historical buildings, I mean REALLY look? As part of an exercise in documenting his surroundings, Northwest artist Aaron Voronoff Trotter brilliantly turned is detailed illustrations of local landmarks into playing cards. Each deck of cards comes in a hand-decorated box, signed and numbered by the artist and includes an illustrated guide with addresses for each landmark. He currently offers decks of Portland Famous Places, Portland Neighborhood Places and Seattle Landmarks, with Astoria, Oregon and Vancouver, B.C. coming soon. You can get your hands on them from his website or at etsy.
